Solar panels

What are solar panels?

Solar panels or photovoltaic panels (solar modules, solar cells) are technical devices that convert light into electricity, which is then used as needed for household consumption, office maintenance or production. The equipment helps to reduce electricity bills or even allows you to make money by transferring electricity to the grid.

Where centralized electricity is not available or expensive to install, solar panels are an indispensable source of energy to charge the required batteries for most of the year.

The construction principle of the solar panel is relatively simple - it consists of silicon crystal cells, which are embedded in a special protective film, which is protected from weather and other mechanical effects by tempered solar glass. Through this solar glass, when light enters these silicon crystal cells, an electron flows, which is then electricity.

How much do solar panels cost?

The photovoltaic (PV) industry is evolving rapidly and equipment models are changing and their efficiency is increasing every year and more often. Consequently, prices are relatively often revised depending on material prices and industry demand. Back in 2012, photovoltaic panels cost 5 to 7 euros per watt. Currently, market prices fluctuate around 50 cents per watt. Of course, beware of low-cost solar panel deals.

Virtually all solar panels are similar in appearance and it is not so easy to determine their quality and origin. Therefore, we recommend choosing a reliable supplier and installer who will take responsibility for the performance of the solar system - the resulting kilowatt-hours for many years. It is obvious that the prices of solar panels have become much friendlier, and the PV systems themselves have become more affordable and therefore more popular.

When will solar panel systems pay off?

On the one hand, solar electricity generation systems are a long-term investment, but in places where there is no electricity and it is expensive to attract electricity, solar panel systems pay off immediately because they provide all the power of the internet, charging computers and other smart devices. operate power tools, use refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and other appliances.

All of this can also be done by running the generator, but it involves noise, odor and maintenance costs. Solar energy is quiet and clean energy. The generator can supplement solar energy systems both permanently and as a backup power source.

When installing photovoltaic systems in places where there is already an electricity connection and electricity consumption, it pays to use solar energy immediately during the day, for example, in factories, offices and institutions. Such solar systems will pay for themselves in less than 10 years, but if the prices of electricity and its supply increase, the payback period can be reduced to 7 or even 5 years. Also, if the main electricity consumption of a building is in the evenings and mornings, as is usually the case in apartment buildings or households, PV panel systems will pay for themselves in about 10 years. Given that high quality solar panel systems are built to work many times longer, solar power is a good investment that will definitely pay off.

Why do we work with Fronius inverters?

Fronius is an Austrian manufacturer of inverters with a very long history, experience and a tradition of high quality and service. Our specialists are trained and the company is FSP (Fronius System Partner) certified. In practice, this means that any technical issues during design, installation or adjustment can be handled directly by the factory's technical support specialists without incompetent intermediaries.

Also, our installed and tuned inverters will have an extended warranty period and it is the Fronius level of service that is valued by our customers and partners.
