On-grid solar panel systems operate in conjunction with the power grid. They switch off automatically if there is a loss of electricity in the network. Mains systems can operate with or without batteries. These systems do not have special hardware that controls the presence of electricity in the network, so such disconnection is like protection against overload and unauthorized power supply line, if the line is disconnected from the network, for example, to repair it. They are cheaper than off-grid systems.
